CNC Milling of an Aluminum Pressure Plate for the Production Machinery Industry

With our precision CNC milling services, Shoemaker Welding & Machine Shop, Inc. was able to build 4 aluminum pressure plates (an example of which is displayed above) for the production machinery industry. These parts are used within a product positioning application. To complete this project, we performed the following operations:

We additionally manufactured all fixtures for the pressure plates.

Using our Fanuc Robodrill, which was able to meet tight tolerances down to ± .001", we milled these products to measure precisely 5.315" x 5.295" in length and width, with a .7" material thickness. We also provided all parts with a hard anodized finish. After performing a series of inspections to ensure that the pressure plates met with our client's unique specifications, we shipped the finished units to our customer's facility in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
