Custom Metal Fabrication of a Steel Window Grate for the Security Industry

Combining our advanced ironworking, MIG welding, and electric grinding machinery, Shoemaker Welding & Machine Shop, Inc. manufactured the above ASTM A36 hot rolled steel window grate for the security industry. The client requested 12 of these grates based on a customer-supplied, 2D CAD drawing.

To begin this project, we used our ironworker to cut rounds and angles to length, miter corners, and punch holes in angles. All the various frames and rounds were then tacked and welded to the grate. Once completed, we performed a variety of visual and dimensional inspections on each unit before shipping the finished parts to our client's facility in Philadelphia.

Satisfying all customer requirements, these steel window grates serve as an important example of our top-notch metal fabrication operations, which are used to fabricate precision components for diverse industries.
