Custom Sheet Metal Fabrication of Steel Truck Box for the Construction Industry

Shoemaker Welding & Machine Shop, Inc. built 2 steel truck boxes for the construction industry, using our top-notch custom sheet metal fabrication services. These parts are placed on our customer's pickup trucks. We began this project by cutting all flats and punching all holes in the ladder rack. We then sanded all radius flats and deburred all edges. The basket of each box was also sanded to prepare the unit for powder coating. In addition, we formed both a 30° and 90° bend within various steel box components.

Once all parts were manufactured, we fully assembled the truck boxes using our advanced MIG welding technology, and mounted all finished items to the trucks. Meeting tight tolerances, we built our steel truck boxes to measure 120" x 21" x 11.5". The parts also featured 4 3/8" x 45° corners for better drainage.

Satisfying all of our client's unique requirements for quality, we delivered the completed steel truck boxes to our customer's facility in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
